Who I am
This website (glentenorio.com) is the personal portfolio of Glen Tenorio, a WordPress developer and designer. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach me at glentenoriogmailcom.
Information I collect
This website has no user accounts or logins. The information collected falls into three groups:
- Information you give me directly — if you email me or fill in a contact form, I receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write.
- Information collected automatically — like most websites, analytics and advertising tools collect data such as the pages you visit, your approximate region, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Information from the website tools — when you use one of the free tools on this site, some details of that use are recorded, as described in the next section.
Website tools
When you run an audit with the Website QA tool, my server records:
- the date and time, your IP address, and your browser and device (user agent);
- the page that linked you to the tool, plus your timezone and language as reported by your browser;
- the web address you audited, and whether the audit worked.
The same details are recorded when someone opens a shared report. I look up the approximate location (city and country) and internet provider of IP addresses in this log using ip-api.com. I use the log to see how the tool is used, to improve it, and to stop abuse such as automated mass requests. Only I can see it.
Each finished audit is saved so it can be shared. The saved report contains the results for the audited website and preview screenshots of it, not information about you. Anyone who has a report's link can open it, so only share it with people you want to see it.
To run an audit, the address you enter is sent to services that check it: Google PageSpeed Insights (speed and accessibility tests) and Microlink (preview screenshots). Your browser connects to them directly, so they also receive your IP address. My server also visits the audited website to check its pages and links. The Website Screenshot Tool works the same way: the address you enter is sent to Microlink and WordPress mShots to capture the screenshot.
Cookies & analytics
I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies that collect anonymous usage data. You can read how Google handles this data in the Google Privacy Policy.
Pages on this site may also display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. If you run a site yourself, I explain how I set this up in ads.txt and AdSense on a static site.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies via aboutads.info. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows a consent message before personalized ads or advertising cookies are used, and you can accept, decline or manage your choices there. You can change your choice later by clearing this site's cookies, after which the message appears again.
The free website tools do not set cookies of their own.
You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not break the site.
How I use your information
I use the information collected to:
- Reply to messages and inquiries you send me.
- Understand which content is useful and improve the website.
- Display relevant advertising that helps keep the site free.
- Run the free website tools, improve them, and protect them from abuse.
I do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Sharing your information
Your information is only shared with the third-party services that make this site work: Google (analytics, advertising and PageSpeed Insights), Microlink and WordPress mShots (screenshots), ip-api.com (approximate location of IP addresses in the tool log), Hostinger (web hosting) and my email provider. Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
How long I keep it
- Emails and inquiries — for as long as needed to reply and follow up, then deleted on request.
- Website tool log — the newest 20,000 entries are kept; older ones are deleted automatically.
- Saved reports — kept so their links keep working, until you ask me to delete them.
- Analytics and advertising data — held by Google under its own retention settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you, or to object to how it is processed. This includes entries in the website tool log and any saved report (send me its link). To make any such request, email me at glentenoriogmailcom and I'll respond promptly.
External links
This site links to other websites and tools. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites, so please review their policies separately.
Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date above.
